Kennesaw Real Estate

Once a rural outpost known mainly for its storied role in the Battle for Atlanta during the Civil War, Kennesaw has grown into a major northern suburb. The city’s namesake college, Kennesaw State University, is now the third largest university in Georgia, and with all of its greenspace, local industry and highly rated schools, Kennesaw is a favorite location for families looking to settle outside the perimeter. Kennesaw’s neighborhoods are designed to be walkable, and each tightknit mini-community easily fosters strong relationships between residents, with many subdivisions hosting their own holiday celebrations, such as for the Fourth of July and Halloween.

Annual festivals for the whole city are also easy to find, including the late summer Pigs & Peaches BBQ Festival and the late fall Taste of Kennesaw event, along with a weekly farmers market throughout the spring and summer. Kennesaw residents are still an easy drive away from all of the excitement of the larger city, as Atlanta is an easy half hour drive away.

Greenspace and outdoor activities are always a major draw for those seeking a more suburban lifestyle, and you’ll find plenty of this in Kennesaw. A true treat for any outdoor enthusiast or history buff is the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, nestled onnearly 3,000 pristine acres.
