Luxury Homes in Ansley Park

Ansley Park Real Estate

Bounded by Ansley Golf Club to the north and Atlanta Botanical Gardens to the south, Ansley Park is a small residential enclave nestled just to the east of Midtown Atlanta. The neighborhood was designed in the early 1900s to bring a serene suburban-feeling outpost to the quickly growing downtown area. Curving roads, hardwood trees and plentiful green space can make one feel lost in an English countryside while being only steps from retail, restaurants and nightlife.  Ansley Park is served by some the most highly rated schools in the Atlanta Public School district – including Morningside Elementary, Inman Middle School and the historic Henry W. Grady High School. Preschool and private school options are also convenient to Ansley Park, with the nationally recognized and highly awarded Paideia School located only 4 miles away.

Several parks wind through the Ansley Park neighborhood, offering kid-friendly playgrounds and paths for a quiet stroll, but the gem of them all lies to the south, where you will find the iconic Piedmont Park.  Featuring miles of walking paths, athletic fields, expansive lawns and several state-of-the-art playscapes, children and the young at heart will be delighted with all the park has to offer. Organized sports at Piedmont Park include soccer, tennis, softball, volleyball, and inline skating and biking (skates and bikes can be rented on site). Fishing is permitted in the park’s lake, and there are three acres of fenced dog parks where Fido can frolic off-leash. On weekends and holidays Piedmont Parks lawns come alive with festivals and concerts, including the famous Atlanta Dogwood festival and Music Midtown.

Adjacent to Piedmont Park is the Atlanta Botanical Garden, featuring 30 acres of stunning horticultural displays. Ever-changing outdoor garden landscapes take visitors into a different world every season. An indoor rainforest and special Christmas light display are a treat for locals and visitors alike.  If you’re looking for a more active outdoor experience, the Atlanta BeltLine can be accessed from the eastern portion of Ansley Park. The BeltLine is a 22-mile “rails to trails” initiative where locals hike, bike, skate and stroll. Local restaurants and businesses can be accessed from the trails and pets are welcome!

Indoor activities also abound in Ansley Park. Take your rainy day blues to the Center for Puppetry Arts, which has been educating and entertaining kids of all ages since Kermit the Frog cut the opening ribbon 40 years ago. Steps from the Ansley Park neighborhood you will also find the High Museum of Art, which features a collection of more than 17,000 works, including an extensive anthology of folk art from the American South.

The dining options around Ansley Park are some of the best in the city, with many delightful options in walking distance from your doorstep.  From the curries at Bangkok Thai to grits at the Flying Biscuit, nearby restaurants will please any palate, at any time of day. The shops and cafes of nearby Ansley Mall and the Midtown Promenade shopping centers also provide a plethora of dining, wellness and retail options, including Home Depot, LA Fitness, PetSmart, Publix, and Trader Joe’s.
