Amber RandhawaGiving Back, What's Happening Around Atlanta

We love to hear about how different business around Atlanta are giving back and helping others, especially if it means helping the heroes working in healthcare right now. True Story Brands, the restaurant group that includes 10 Degrees South, Biltong Bar, Cape Dutch and Yebo Beach Haus, has partnered with the Spanx by Sara Blakely Foundation to supply 2,500 meals per week to the doctors, nurses and medical staff at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

This plan, dubbed the Frontline Dine initiative, was conceived as a way of helping two of the groups hardest hit by the fight against Coronavirus – medical workers and the restaurant industry. Meals will be prepared at the Biltong Bar location in Buckhead, and will allow True Story provide work to the employees who had been temporarily furloughed when social distancing measures first went into effect, sending the local restaurant industry scrambling to operate with new business restrictions.

Also, we encourage you to support the restaurant industry in Atlanta through ordering take-out from business that have stayed open, purchasing gift cards from those who have temporarily closed or moved to charitable meal donations, and by donating to funds set up for furloughed employees.

You can purchase a giftcard to be used at any True Story Brands restaurant when they reopen to the public by clicking here. You may also donate to a GoFundMe account set up for the temporarily out of work employees of these great restaurants by clicking here.
