The AJC’s Best of Atlanta poll has been letting us know where to find the best Atlanta has to offer for years, from food to events to home services. Recently the AJC put the spotlight on the top spots in town for one of our all time favorites -tacos! Did your favorite spot make the list?

5th Place Tie – El Felix (now Superica) and El Taco Veloz
The two El Felix locations at The Battery in Cobb County and Avalon in Alpharetta have rebranded to become part of the Superica chain, and the tacos are still top notch. Meanwhile El Taco Veloz has been delighting palates in the heart of Buford Highway’s international food corridor since 1991.
3rd Place Tie – Bartaco and Taqueria El Rey Del Taco
Bartaco held the 2nd place spot for best taco in Atlanta in 2017, and their coastal themed street food is still a top 5 contender. You can find them in Inman Park, Chastain and Midtown. Another Buford Highway staple, Taqueria El Rey Del Taco has been in business for 15 years.
2nd Place – Tacos La Villa
2017’s overall winner, Tacos La Villa in Smyrna is known for having some of the most authentic Mexican food in town.
1st Place – Taqueria del Sol
The Decatur location of Taqueria del Sol has once again won the title for best tacos in the city! They won last year as well with 25% of the votes, and improved that to 27% this year.
