Originally scheduled for March 15th, the annual Rescue Dog Games festival was set to mark it’s 5th year at Piedmont Park with interactive games, dog play areas, music and more. When it became clear that delaying this year’s event until the fall wouldn’t be feasible, organizers still wanted to hold an event to raise awareness of and funds pet rescues in the Atlanta area working to find families for homeless pets.
Throughout September, dog owners can take part by posting pictures of themselves and their furry friends responding to challenges either at home or at the event’s originally intended venue, Piedmont Park. Prizes in this virtual competition include Amazon giftcards, dog toys and treats, and services from local vendors.
