Baseball opening day is less than two weeks away, and The Battery at Truist Park is ready to welcome baseball fans back in full force! Whether you are coming to check out a Braves game or you’re just interested in meeting up with friends to grab dinner and drinks, you’ll see some new faces on the scene, along with some old favorites who you may have missed last year due to the pandemic. Restaurants that were open to take out service only throughout last spring and summer will now be serving lunch and dinner to dine-in patrons, in addition to their ongoing take out service.
Aside from these new faces on the scene at The Battery, other changes can be expected for the 2021 baseball season at Truist Park. For starters, the stadium is going cashless. Beginning with the Braves home opener on April 9th, cash will not be accepted anywhere inside the stadium for food and beverages. Instead, you’ll need to use a credit or debit card, or preferably, a mobile payment system on your phone. Contactless payment is a safety measure put in place due to the COVID pandemic, but you can expect more and more businesses to head in this direction. Machines will be placed throughout the stadium whereby fans can load cash onto prepaid debit cards for use inside the park as well. When the season begins, cash will still be accepted for merchandise at Truist Park’s retail shops, but this will be gradually phased out as the season goes on.
From baseball to concerts, fine dining and private event spaces, The Battery offers more entertainment options within walking distance than any other neighborhood in Atlanta. Before, or after, you hit up the big game, or even when there is no game at all, check out some of our favorite spots in The Battery, both new and old!

Enjoy your stay in one of their artfully designed rooms which feature oversized TVs, rainforest showers and fast, free Wi-Fi. The hotel has been open since August, and is looking forward to it’s first Braves season soon. One of the best aspects of the Aloft is that it is super pet friendly. Upon check in, Aloft pets can receive a complimentary kit which includes their own bowl, picker up bags, tasty treats, a dog toy and their very own signature bed to sleep on while at the hotel!
Antico’s Westside location near the Georgia Tech campus has been repeatedly voted the best pizza in the city, which means Braves fans are lucky to have a location so conveniently located to them at Truist Park. The distillery will offer public tasting hours from noon to 9pm daily, and until 10pm on Braves game days. While you’re there you can also partake in a tour to see how the distillery operation works.
