This is part two of our Opening in 2020 Series. Today we are focusing on Midtown Atlanta, so sit back, relax and work up an appetite getting to know a few restaurants coming in 2020.

Midtown Atlanta

El Burro Pollo opens in soon at the new Coda development on Spring Street at Tech Square. Much like Santiago’s pop-up, the restaurant serves “border town-style” burritos and other Mexican dishes.

Vietvana opens its second location on Spring Street in Midtown soon. One block north of the Centergy One complex, this Vietnamese-styled eatery is also home to the Canteen mini food hall near Tech Square.

El Viñedo Local opens one block north of the Fox Theatre on Peachtree Street early this year. The cafe hopes to “fit in effortlessly” with Midtown’s bar and restaurant scene. Empanadas and ceviche as well as other Latin dishes that pair well with wine are planned for this South American cafe and wine bar.

Sam’s, a San Francisco Anthony Bourdain-approved staple, opens soon at the Sixty 11th Apartments on 11th Street. The Atlanta version could include between 20 to 50 varieties of burgers, nearly 200 varieties of sandwiches, wines from the Napa and Sonoma regions and nearly 50 beers local and San Fran beers on tap.

Kin No Tori Ramen Bar is set to be unveiled some time this year at Midtown Place on Ponce de Leon Avenue. The menu boasts a made-from-scratch chicken broth-based ramen. The restaurant will also offer a variety of Japanese street foods.

Rumi’s Kitchen opens its third Atlanta location on the corner of 14th and Peachtree streets at Colony Square this spring. The Persian-styled menu runs the gamut from labneh and dolmeh to a wide variety of kabobs and large entrees like lamb shank served with lentils and basmati rice.

Holeman and Finch relocates to Colony Square this spring with an expanded menu along with lunch and the popular double stack cheeseburger. The larger space provides more room inside as well as an outdoor patio.
