Laughing Skull Bringing Comedy Back at Center Stage

Concert and comedy venues across Metro Atlanta have remained mostly closed since March, since most of their shows are unable to meet social distancing requirements necessitated by the Coronavirus pandemic. The Laughing Skull Lounge was formerly known for its 10 shows each week selling to as much as 90% capacity, in their intimate space holding only 80 people. Meanwhile Center Stage frequently sold out music concerts with their venue holding 1,050 patrons.

Organizers at both venues want to bring entertainment back to the city, so they’ve joined forces to bring Laughing Skull comedy back in the larger, airy room at Center Stage. This weekend, two test shows will be held, billed as the “Best of Atlanta Comedy Showcase.” Only 200 tickets will be sold and all audience members will be seated in a socially distanced configuration, and must wear masks.
