Atlanta BeltLine Lantern Parade

Amber RandhawaWhat's Happening Around Atlanta

The Atlanta BeltLine Lantern Parade began in 2010, and has grown from about 1,200 participants and tailgaters along the parade route to more than 70,000 people at last year’s event. Created and hosted by Chantelle Rytter and the Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons, this awe-inspiring spectacle of lights and sounds is a celebration of the annual Art on the Atlanta BeltLine exhibition, the largest temporary art exhibition in the south.

The parade is a beautiful glowing procession of light, music, and color illuminating the Eastside Trail. Even better, it’s free and open to all to participate and walk in the parade, with no prior registration necessary.  All that is asked of you is that you bring a lantern of your own creation.

When: Saturday, September 21st, 7pm
Where: Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail
